I have been watching Jillian Michaels new show "Losing it". This weeks episode was about a family that live on a reservation. One of the staples of their diet is "fry bread".... white flour bread fried in lard. Tradition is a great thing, but when its killing you maybe its time to reevaluate.
My mom makes the best biscuits and gravy. She use to make it on Sunday mornings, or we went to one of her favorite restaurants that made it. I cant remember the last time I saw her make her famous breakfast. She still orders once in a while when we go out, but there are no leftovers.
Everyone deserves indulgences from time to time, but not everyday or even every week.
Plan your cheat days, enjoy them and move on with your life.
Being at a healthy weight feels way better than feeling "stuffed".
